Spanish speed dating questions

Pupils had previously been filling in a feedback sheet with all interviewees listed, but after a clever suggestion from one of my Upper Sixth on Monday, today pupils carried their own notebook around with them, and each person questioning them filled it in at the end of the round.

They are given a tally of how many questions they were asked, as well as a comment and a score out of 10.

Each of these will likely sound familiar to you, although the names may not be exactly what you’ve known them as.

This is a lesson I train pupils in from as early as possible (possibly not absolute beginners) and within a few run-throughs it can run itself.

It works towards the end of the unit when you want a speaking level without doing formal teacher assessments.

That means a new batch of students to get to know, students who need to be made comfortable in your classroom, and who need to get to know each other. I planned to create a nice big post with dozens of icebreaker ideas you could choose from.

It’s essential to start building relationships with your students right from the start. I would scour the Internet for the very best activities and games and store links to them here for your reference.
