Sccm status messages not updating
Therefore no successful status message is displayed in Config Mgr console anymore.
At one customer this is the case on ALL (re-)deployments on systems.
The complete Update seems to work fine taking several hours including several automatic restarts.
Then I am able to log in and see some messages indicating it is completing the update.
At another customer this happens to 1 on 10 systems, at both new deployments and re-deployments.
At the moment I have contacted Microsoft support for this.
When I leave it that way over night, I do see the Task Manager in the morning, but still not the desktop. So far, I tried many suggestions, such as installing the Think Pad Monitor INF File for Windows 10 and Elan Think Pad Ultra Nav Driver drivers manually (before updating Windows) or starting in Safe Mode after the Update.
In Safe Mode don't see the desktop neither, but the task manager comes up already after 10 minutes (instead of hours) and I see an empty desktop - no icons and the Start Menu or Command Entry don't open,.
